The MV1 Hand Scanner is a Nexus‑grade utility tool engineered for a single purpose: scan the archive text of an artifact and highlight words recognized by the Mystery Vault’s keyword matrix.

When activated, the MV1 sweeps the archive with a micro‑pattern detection field. As you move the scanner across the text, it identifies and highlights Vault‑approved keywords—terms that can be combined to unlock Archived Fragments within the Mystery Vault.

The Nexus Archive is layered with dormant language threads. Most words appear ordinary, but some resonate with the Vault’s internal lexicon. These hidden anchors are essential for unlocking deeper Vault tiers.

The MV1 does not decode lore or open vaults directly. Its sole function is to reveal which words the Vault is listening for. Some fragments require a single keyword, others a sequence, and a few demand combinations across multiple artifacts.

To disable the scanner, press ESC or select Disable Scanner.

Before You Acquire This Item

The MV1 Hand Scanner is required for:

  • Progressing through Mystery Vault tiers
  • Completing Collector Challenges

Without the MV1, archive text appears normal—no highlights, no clues, no progression.

This item is used to scan individual artifacts archive for clues to unlock rewards from the Mystery Vault. Move the magnifying glass over the text to reveal hidden clues tied to the archive classes.

Across the Nexus, the atlas maps shifting constellations of memory. A battered codex hums with glyphs that echo through the timeline. Story arcs fold into themselves, and artifact lore whispers of a key hidden inside a child's lullaby. The story of the A-501 shard is incomplete — fragments point to a trade center and a vault beyond the veil.

Collectors trade rarities at the Nexus Trade Center. The codex entry mentions a ritual and a timeline marker at the equinox. Seek the atlas coordinates and the artifact-lore fragment to unlock the Mystery Vault.

To disable the scanner press the ESC key or simply hit the disable scanner button
